Perak Island

Perak Island is a small island located off the northwest coast of Peninsular Malaysia in the Andaman Sea, administered from the state of Kedah. It is one of several minor islands in the region and has a largely coastal character.

The island is remote and sparsely developed, visited mainly for local fishing and occasional boat excursions rather than mass tourism. Its marine surroundings are the main feature for visitors.

Perak Island lies offshore from the Kedah mainland in the northern Malacca Strait/Andaman Sea area, within Malaysia’s territorial waters.
