Nauru has one airport with scheduled commercial service, so nearly all international travelers arrive through Nauru International Airport (INU). It is the country’s primary gateway and the only international airport on Nauru, with flights on Nauru Airlines. The airport is near Yaren, the de facto capital and the main administrative hub, with government offices, transport links, and most visitor services.
With only INU serving scheduled flights, there are no other commercial airports to connect to second cities, outer islands, or regional hubs within Nauru. Domestic flying does not play a role in getting around the island, so travel between districts such as Uaboe, Baiti, Anabar, Ijuw, and inland areas like Buada Lagoon and Command Ridge is handled by ground transport rather than flights.
