Most international travelers arrive at Marshall Islands International Airport (MAJ), the country’s primary gateway and the only airport on the islands with international service. MAJ is in Majuro, the administrative and transport hub and the base for most visits and boat trips.

The other scheduled commercial option is Bucholz Army Air Field (KWA), serving the Kwajalein and Ebeye area, a huge military-linked atoll and nearby populated island with distinct island life. With only one domestic airport in scheduled service, domestic flying is limited, and many onward connections around the country fit alongside sea travel, including inter-island transport through Center Pier in Majuro and ferry links in Ebaye. Majuro is also a common starting point for short boat excursions on Majuro Atoll and day trips to places like Arno.
