Ko Adang Travel Guide

Whether you travel to Ko Adang on a daytrip from Ko Lipe or enjoy a night or two on the island, it is the perfect getaway destination for those looking to avoid the crowds but still enjoy a beautiful beach.

There is much to see on this stunning island, which as well as the white sands includes jungle interior, waterfalls and an abundance of wildlife and sea life. If you arrive by yourself by boat, you will be dropped off on the shore and have to walk to the information center.

From here you can find out about the one restaurant on the island as well as accommodation and entertainment options. It is not, however, for those looking for a frenetic nightlife. Activities focus on daytime pursuits while the evenings are quiet, peaceful affairs.

There is something for everyone here and many activities to enjoy. Diving and hiking are particularly popular as are island hopping and sea kayaking. Longtail boats can be hired on a daily basis to take visitors to the deserted islands which dot out of the ocean surrounding Ko Adang.

Getting There & Away

The only way to reach Ko Adang is by boat. Most people leave from Ko Lipe on a longtail boat, which takes about 35 minutes to 1 hour. It is, however, also possible to reach the island from other islands such as Ko Lanta or even Krabi on the mainland. The nearest airport is at Hat Yai, which receives a selection of domestic flights from all across the country.
