Congjiang Travel Guide

Located on the southeastern border of Guizhou Province in southern China, Conjiang is a major transport hub between minority villages in the southeast of the province.

The surrounding landscape is made up of picturesque mountains, lush green forests and open grasslands. The local Miao people who inhabit the area still live a traditional life with little western modernization. You will find some accommodation in Congjiang although it’s basic and inexpensive; it includes home stays with local families.

One of the main attractions of Conjiang is to experience the traditional Chinese culture and heritage. There is the small village of Basha located just four miles away, which has a history dating back over 2,000 years. Guided tours are available, which are great for seeing how the locals live.

Travel to Congjiang- getting there

Conjiang is easily reached by bus from neighboring cities including Kaili and Liping, where there is an airport with frequent flights to Beijing and other Chinese cities. Flying from Beijing to Liping takes approximately 1 hour. There are also long distance buses and trains to nearby cities from the capital city of Beijing.
