Otherwise known as Clark Freeport Zone, this entertainment district was named after the US military base that was situated here for almost 100 years. The site is made up of shopping malls, hotels and spas.
In the years after the US left, the zone was cleaned up and declared to be Philippine owned again. This is when the mass construction started. The airport here is set to become Manila's new gateway when expansion at the current airport is no longer possible.
The area has many attractions for all the family at this gigantic site. Fontana Leisure Park offers a golf course for adults while kids can play safely in the water park that looks like it is straight from the US with its wave machines and slides in abundance.
At night-time you can dine in any of the several fine restaurants or take a trip to the casino. You can also find an equestrian center that resembles the old west where you can ride horses off into the sunset.
Manila's international airport is only 50 miles away and does not take much longer than 1 hour by VIP bus to reach from Clark Special Economic Zone. Alternatively, Clark Special Economic Zone has its own international airport currently only serving Asian destinations.
