About Cagua Volcano

Cagua Volcano (sometimes called Mount Cagua) is a stratovolcano in the Cagayan Valley region of northern Luzon in the Philippines. It is one of the volcanic features of the northern Luzon volcanic arc.

The volcano forms a steep, conical peak that rises above the surrounding lowlands and forested slopes. It is part of the regional volcanic system monitored by Philippine authorities.

Cagua has been mapped and described by Philippine volcanological surveys and is catalogued among the active and potentially active volcanoes of the archipelago. Access and conditions vary with local weather and terrain.

Geographically it sits in the northern portion of Luzon within Cagayan Valley, in the general area administered as Cagayan Province, set among coastal plains and nearby hills of northern Luzon.
