Exploring Bueng Si Fai#
Bueng Si Fai is a large lake a couple of kilometres south of Phichit town, covering an enormous area. The northern end around the entrance has been landscaped with flower gardens and walking paths, making it a popular place for locals to relax in the evening and at weekends.
The lake is used by the Fisheries Department for breeding fish, and on the far side sits an aquarium exhibiting local fish species alongside traditional fishing equipment. The most striking feature, though, is an enormous model crocodile, big enough to stand inside its open mouth, which is exactly what most visitors do for a souvenir photo. Beside it, a small enclosure holds several real, if considerably smaller, crocodiles.

Best visited in the cool, dry season (November-February) when temperatures and humidity are lowest for lakeside walks.
