Bai Bau Beach Travel Guide

Located only ten miles from Quy Nhon City is the secluded and beautiful beach known as Bai Bau Beach. Bai Bau Beach is a private beach just over half a mile north of the famously eco-friendly Life Resort.

Whilst the resort charges a fortune to hire a deck chair or sun lounger on their private part of the beach (even to those who have just dined in the exclusive restaurant), Bai Bau is a tenth of the cost and just as pretty. The sand is white and the sea is a pure turquoise color and it has the look of a stereotypically beautiful tropical beach.

The weekends and publics holidays can see the area get over populated with holidaying Vietnamese and day-trippers alike yet during the week days you are most likely to have the beach to yourself. With the curved beach, mountains to the rear and rocky capes, the beach is sheltered and cozy.

Getting There & Away

All major transport routes go from Quy Nhon City, only a 15-minute drive from Bai Bau Beach, where there is a large bus station. Just under a mile north of town you will find the train station, which welcomes services from all over the country. Only 20 miles north of Quy Nhon is Phu-Cat Airport, which deals with daily flights from all major Vietnamese destinations and is a 45-minute drive from Bai Bau Beach. Flights from Hanoi take an hour and 45 minutes to Phu-Cat. Getting to the beach is easiest in a local taxi or hire car.
