Al-Shahaniya (Ash Shaḩāniyah) is easiest to reach from Doha’s Hamad International Airport (DOH) by taxi or intercity bus. Public rail does not yet serve the district, so road transport is the norm.

From DOH you can take a Karwa taxi direct to Al-Shahaniya (about 30-45 minutes depending on traffic) or use a transfer service; taxi fares typically range from QAR 40-80 depending on distance and route.
Doha domestic connections: There are no other major international airports closer; domestic ground transfers from Doha remain the standard option for reaching towns in Al-Shahaniya.
Train: Qatar’s rail network (Doha Metro) currently serves the Doha metro area and does not yet extend out to Al-Shahaniya.
Bus / Karwa: Mowasalat (Karwa) operates intercity and local bus routes that connect Doha with outlying towns; buses are cheap and air‑conditioned, though services outside peak routes may be infrequent. Taxis from Doha (Karwa) are reliable for direct travel and useful if you have luggage or want door-to-door service.
