Vinh Long Province Travel Guide
In southern Vietnam, Vinh Long province enjoys a favorable environment for its agricultural production of rice and fruits. It also provides the country with craftsmanship including silk and fabrics, and fishing products.
Vonh Long is a pleasant stop on the way to Can Tho and is close to Cai Be floating market, famous among foreign and Vietnamese tourists alike. Nearly 140kms (87 miles) from Ho Chi Minh City, Vinh Long city, the capital of the province, offers wonderful boat excursions to An Binh and Binh Hoa Phuoc on the Tien river. The city enjoys many canals and bridges, and has a lively market full of colors and spices.
Accommodation is basic, but this is compensated by the friendliness of the local population. Vinh Long is accessed by road and water transportation from the southern capital.
