If you are looking for somewhere that lacks tourist amenities but has real charm and friendly people.
What to Do
visit the temples, day trip to Vinh Long and explore the market.
Best Time to Go
December to April.
How Long?
Three or four days.

Tra Vinh is charming and pretty and home to shops, tree lined streets and a bustling market. It is located on the banks of a canal that offers a few boat trips, but apart from the temples and friendly locals, attractions are fairly non-existent.

The town is off the beaten tourist path and the market is one of the main places of interest in the entire province. History buffs will enjoy exploring the temples and characteristic architecture which is steeped in Khmer history and influence. The town is best visited for a day unless you have your own motorbike as there are no car ferries and a lack of public transport in the area.
