The road between Tiwi and the nearby city of Tabaco offers pretty views of the sea and paddy fields. Those who enjoy solitude will find peace in Tiwi, although most people just pause here briefly.

There are a number of basic restaurants in Tiwi offering traditional Filipino food. This is also a good place to pick up a souvenir or two, and a visit to one of the local potteries provides the opportunity to watch as the red clay soil is transformed into a pot or vase to take home.
