Ternate Travel Guide

One of the top Philippine beach locations, the municipality of Ternate is found in the province of Cavite, on the southern shoreline of Manila Bay in Luzon. Some 90kms south of Manila, this destination is home to several beach resorts frequented by those who wish to get away from the bustling capital.

An award winner for exceptional design, Caylabne Bay Resort features Mediterranean-style cottages and bungalows with whitewashed walls and red tile roofs. Comprising various restaurants, tropical gardens, swimming pools and water sports facilities, it is Ternate’s premier seaside resort.

From here, you can make numerous daytrips and explore the historic and scenic Cavite Province. Tagaytay City serves as the major tourist hub and boasts the historical sites of Fort San Felipe and Sangley Point. Situated in Kawit is the Aguinaldo Shrine and Museum, where the country’s independence was proclaimed in 1898.

Another place of interest is the island fortress of Corregidor, where Filipino-American forces battled against the Japanese intruders in 1942. This site has become a popular tourist attraction, with cannons, tunnels and other still well-preserved structures.
