The reality, however, is rather a letdown. Suphanburi is not the prettiest place to visit and tends to be rather noisy and dirty. However, there are a number of temples to explore and other attractions such as parks and even a theater, meaning that there is plenty to keep visitors entertained.
Suphanburi is well known for its vibrant festivals and large numbers of people flock to the city to take part in them. The Bun Bang Fai or Rocket Festival is particularly interesting as it features a large parade and rocket launching, while the Thing Krachat Festival in August is a good time to try local produce.
