Saraburi Province Travel Guide

Saraburi is a medium sized central Thai province located to the east of the Chao Phraya river valley. The province consists of high plains in the east which ascend to the low-lying flat lands of the west. Saraburi is famous with Thais for its important Buddhist pilgrimage site, Wat Phra Phutthabat temple, the location of a sacred ‘Buddha footprint’.

The province includes a number of additional tourist attractions including Khao Sam Lan National Park and the Crocodile Farm and Zoo, an important breeding site for endemic crocodile species. There are also opportunities for rock climbing in the province’s Muang district.
