A few of the resorts were founded by surfers, for surfers, offering all of the equipment, transportation and expertise visitors need. The official surfing season lasts from November to March, with peak wave conditions in December and January. During this season the north swell brings in right-handers, while the more sporadic south swell in the summer brings left-handers.
Travel to San Juan - Getting There
It is a 6-hour drive to Manila, where the large international airport receives most of the Philippines' international tourists. Diehard surfers bringing their own board will probably want to hire a car in Manila and drive themselves via the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX). Total driving time is around 6 hours.
