Pursat Province Travel Guide

Also known as Pouthisat and Pousat, Pursat is Cambodia’s fourth largest province, situated in the west of the country. Bordering with Battambang, Kampong Chhnang, Kampong Speu and Koh Kong provinces as well as Thailand to the west, Pursat sees a moderate trickle of tourists.

The provincial capital, Pursat, rests on the banks of the Stung Pursat river between the Cardamom Mountains and Tonle Sap lake. Connected with the national capital (174kms/108 miles away) via national highway 5, Pursat is best reached by bus.
