Nature is at the forefront of people's mind here as it is all around, with stunning views of mountains, golden beaches and beautiful horizons.

Popular with surfers, the waves have a perfect barrel type surf that seems to stretch as far as the eye can see. The Pacific leads into the Philippine Sea, which gives the surfers that ideal break to ride on. The golden sandy beach entices visitors to relax the day away while they top up their tan before delving into the crystal clear waters to check out the abundance of marine life on show.

Travel to Puraran - Getting There

Coming from Manila, where the closest international airport is situated, you can take a daily bus to the port of Tabaco with a journey time of about 10 hours, then a 3-hour ferry to Catanduanes Island followed by a short hour bus ride to Puraran. Alternatively, you can fly direct from Manila to Catanduanes in under 1 hour.
