Phu Reua National Park Travel Guide

Situated in northeastern Thailand in Loei Province]], the stunningly beautiful Phu Reua National Park covers 75,525 square kilometers and features a rocky mountain range with spectacular views from the many peaks.

A large number of pretty trails wind their way through the park, leading visitors past waterfalls, rock gardens, caves and picnic spots. The Chateau de Loei vineyards are also located within the park and this is a good place to sample locally produced wine.

Phu Reua National Park is a particularly good place to spot wildlife and visitors will have the chance to see bears, monkeys, deer, turtles, squirrels and birds. Wander through lush pine forest and beside the cool waters of the Heuang and Khong rivers.

Spending the night in Phu Reua National Park is a good option as there are a number of comfortable bungalows where groups of people can stay together. There are also a number of places to eat in the park.

Getting There & Away

There are regular flights from Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport to the city of Loei (2 hours), from where you can take a bus to the park headquarters (1 hour).
