Paliton Beach Travel Guide

Some beaches are just so stunning they cannot be left off a travel itinerary, and Paliton Beach in Siquijor is no exception to this rule.

Paliton is a swimming hotspot and perfect for chilling out in warm bath-like waters and snorkeling. It offers great views of nearby Apo Island and is easily accessible. Simply go to Paliton village and turn onto the dirt road at the Paliton chapel, where you pass the first small beach before reaching the larger Paliton Beach.

There is no accommodation on the beach and the back is lined with shady palm trees. The most action on the beach will be the odd fisherman taking out a Bangka, and the pure white sands make this beach look like a postcard picture.

There are a few huts at the back of the beach but they are not for tourists and the skeleton of a failed hotel adds to the beach’s charm. The waters are crystal clear and run from a greeny color to turquoise blue. The only sound you will hear is the water gently lapping the shore and the insects that start chirruping when the sun sets.
