Gili Nanggu Travel Guide

The small island of Gili Nanggu, just southwest of Lombok, is famous for its white sandy beach, snorkeling and swimming in the blue seas that encircle this Indonesian holiday secret.

Gili Nanggu is part of an island set known as the Gili Islands, with each of the islands graced with picture perfect beaches made up from pure white sand and clear blue sea water. The island is a paradise for those looking to relax, swim, snorkel and sleep in tropical surroundings.

The only place to stay on the island is comfortable, clean and made up from a mixture of bungalows and cottages. Sea turtles have been spotted off the island and there are thousands of fish in the fertile waters just offshore. Motorized vehicles are banned on Gili Nanggu so the only way to travel is on foot, which simply adds to the charm of the island.

The beaches are really the main draw to any vacation here, whether you want to relax, sunbathe, swim or check out the fish-rich waters with a face mask and snorkel. If you need a break from paradise take a trip to one of the other islands, with boats servicing Gili Kedis, Gili Poh and Gili Gede.
