Daxin is one of the cities in Southwest China with access to the karst landscape that has made this region so popular with tourists. It's characterized by a beautiful array of limestone formations, forested mountains and rivers.
Daxin is close to the Chinese border with Vietnam, within easy reach of the region's most spectacular natural wonder, Detian Waterfall. This massive cascade straddles the border between these two countries and is often compared to Niagara Falls due to its dual nationality.
There are many other natural attractions including caves and waterfalls within easy reach of Daxin. Tourists can use the town as a base to explore these sites, hiring guides or joining tour groups. Tourist buses connect to every scenic location in the county.
Daxin is only accessible by road, and most tourists arrive on chartered buses from Nanning (the provincial capital), which is roughly 2 hours away. Nanning operates an international airport with connections to major cities across Southeast Asia including Phnom Penh, Ho Chi Minh City and Bangkok as well as Shanghai (2 hours, 30 minutes) and Beijing (3 hours).
